Chemical label printing
Specialty chemicals and additives often need color product labels—brand color, name and specs, dosage notes, and a QR code that opens a datasheet. Design in LuckDesign, print on a color label printer. Sample and catalogue jobs often use Excel (hover preview, accumulated selection); you can also feed print jobs from ERP / business databases via LuckData.
LuckDesign natively supports vector-level color label printing so brand marks and datasheet QR codes stay sharp. Where it helps
Common examples—not an exclusive list. Fields, templates, and languages follow your specs and data sources.
- Finished-goods and pack color labels: brand colors, names/specs, and marks on bottles, drums, bags, and similar packs.
- Samples, trials, and show kits: select rows from a list; fields may include grade, assay, dosage, and similar columns as in your sheet.
- Lot and traceability fields: lot/batch, manufacture date, expiry, and related values mail-merged per row.
- Warehouse and line reprints: row select and partial reprints; data from Excel or LuckData business tables.
- Multi-language / multi-market templates: Chinese/English or other language variants, switched by market.
- Info and link QR codes: datasheet or product-page URL QR codes; you host the landing pages.
- Customer-specified layout elements: arrange safety or product notes per customer rules and print them; SDS authoring and regulatory classification stay with specialist systems (see scope note).
Vector-level color label printing
With a color-capable label printer, LuckDesign can output labels on a vector-level color path (per current release and printer capability)—useful for brand blocks, marks, and QR codes on chemical product labels. Media and chemical resistance follow the printer and stock you choose on site. Product overview: Color label printing software.
Excel: hover preview and accumulated selection
Catalogues often live in Excel. In LuckDesign data-source print:
- Hover preview: move over a row to preview that row’s real data on the current template—catch field mismatches before print.
- Query and accumulate: search more than once, accumulate checked rows, then print together—fit for picking multiple samples.
Full Excel data-source overview: Excel label printing software.
Not Excel-only: when item master or lot data already lives in an ERP / business database, configure LuckData sources and query filters so print jobs pull from those tables (an optional path alongside Excel). See ERP & business systems; for a worked Chanjet T+ example, see Chanjet T+ label printing.
Language templates and product-info QR
- Chinese / English labels: separate templates per market; fields can be driven by Excel or a LuckData business source.
- URL QR codes: encode datasheet or product-page links so a scan opens the right document (you host the landing pages).
Scope note
This page covers product / sample color labels for chemical businesses—design, vector-level color output, and mail-merge from Excel or LuckData (ERP / business databases). You can lay out safety or product elements per customer specs and print them; Luck does not replace SDS authoring, hazardous-chemical registration, or GHS classification systems. UI options, color printer capability, and licensing follow the current release, contract, and Versions & permissions.
