When a site says “we need approval,” there are at least two flows: template approval decides whether this template may be used for print; print approval decides whether this collaborative job (smart template, scan, list) must be requested before paper comes out. Device requests are a third flow—do not report them as the first two.
| Template approval | Print approval | |
|---|---|---|
| What it blocks | An unapproved template used for print | An unapproved print job |
| Who cares most | Label managers, quality | Supervisors, line operators |
| Typical edition | Enterprise or LuckNext, opened by edition | Same, opened by edition |
| Governance go-live | Based on delivery timelines from past implementations, about 10 days to run “print only approved templates” | Turned on with collaborative print; about 1–2 weeks to settle in |
Drawn from past implementations, mislabels from stale templates can drop about 60%–80% after governance. See template and print approval.
