Device data collection system

Land device collection by fixing which points must reach the label and whether fails may print: survey scale/counter protocols and pass bands, pilot collect-judge-then-print via LuckDesign/LuckNext; weigh-pack has its own landing map—capability notes on those pages.

Before cutover: devices have numbers—labels still get typed

Common blockers before go-live

  • Unclear protocols at survey—pilots burn time on unstable readings.
  • Fails can still print via hand-picked templates—gates not in acceptance.
  • Lot ids across devices don’t match labels—no reconcile rule for audits.

How we connect at landing

  • Survey devices, points, pass ranges, and label fields.
  • Pilot: stable read → judge → print; fail stays locked.
  • Acceptance reconciles raw readings with print history; pack specialty on weigh-pack landing.

How we survey and pilot the line

At pre-pack weigh or count-fill stations, consultants time stable-read-to-print before choosing auto vs confirm-to-print.

First wave connects only 1–2 clear-protocol devices; others stay manual so the pilot isn’t blocked by plant-wide protocols.

From survey to acceptance

  1. Survey: device list, comms, thresholds, label samples.
  2. Integrate: readings into collection context bound to lot/WO.
  3. Templates: LuckDesign variables align to collected fields.
  4. Pilot: pass auto/confirm print; fail locks and prompts retest.
  5. Reconcile: raw value, judgment, print history as a triple.
  6. Cutover: expand by station; close “type then print” entries.
  7. Accept: latency, lock, reconcile—signed.

Accuracy · Less typing

Fields reach label variables after pilot.

Gate · Fail blocks print

In acceptance—so cutover doesn’t regress.

Trace · Same source

Audits recall readings from print history.

Survey points → integrate collect → judge → LuckDesign/LuckNext print → reconcile → expand → accept

How print connects to LuckDesign / LuckNext

Only pass (or authorized override) packs fields for print: LuckDesign desktop or LuckNext queues—no hard layout inside the collector.

FAQ

Which devices?

Per site protocols and gateways—often scales, counters, status points; integrate before acceptance.

Vs weigh-pack landing?

Miss-pack specialty follows the weigh-pack map; general multi-point collect-and-judge follows this path.
